A. Subscription Information (via Apple & Google Play)
- When you subscribe, the platform store you purchased from — Apple's App Store (via StoreKit) or Google Play (via Google Play Billing) — processes payment and shares transaction and subscription status with the app.
- This includes subscription status, expiration dates, and renewal information.
- To verify your subscription and manage daily usage limits for the Bible Chat feature, an anonymous, store-signed transaction record (an Apple-signed receipt on iOS, or a Google Play–signed purchase record on Android) is sent to our backend servers.
- We do not process, store, or have access to your payment details, name, Apple ID, or Google account; Apple and Google handle all transactions.
B. Bible Chat Data
- When you use the Bible Chat feature, the questions and messages you submit are securely transmitted to our backend infrastructure (hosted on Cloudflare) and processed by a third-party AI provider (Fireworks AI) to generate real-time responses.
- We do not log or store your chat history on our servers. Your entire conversation history is stored locally on your device.
C. Local App Data (Stored on Your Device Only)
- User preferences: color scheme, font style, font size, and selected Bible version.
- Personal content: verse highlights, bookmarks, optional notes you create, and your Bible Chat conversation history.
- Usage metrics: app launches, chapters viewed, and bookmarks added. These are used entirely locally on your device to trigger in-app prompts (like review requests).
- Interaction data: whether you’ve dismissed review or support prompts, and when.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process and verify subscriptions through Apple’s StoreKit or Google Play Billing and our backend infrastructure.
- Provide and improve app features, specifically generating AI responses for the Bible Chat.
- Personalize your experience based on preferences (handled locally).
- Show review/support prompts based on engagement (handled locally).
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Storage and Security
- All personal data (preferences, highlights, bookmarks, notes, and chat history) is stored locally on your device using the device’s local storage.
- Chat queries are transmitted securely via HTTPS to our servers solely for real-time processing and are not retained or stored.
- Subscription verification data is processed securely on our servers but remains anonymous and is completely decoupled from your personal identity.
- We do not have access to your Apple ID, Google account, email, or payment information.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
- Apple & Google: Handle all subscription transactions on their respective platforms (the App Store and Google Play); their privacy policies apply.
- AI Providers: We use third-party AI services (such as Fireworks AI) via our Cloudflare infrastructure to process Bible Chat queries. The data sent is limited to the chat context needed to generate a response and is not used by these providers to train their AI models.

5. Your Rights and Choices
- Delete data: Delete the app from your device to instantly remove all local data, including your chat history, highlights, and preferences.
- Manage subscriptions: Use your device settings — the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android — to manage, cancel, or restore active subscriptions.
- Preferences: Adjust app settings at any time within the app.
6. Children’s Privacy
- The app is not intended for users under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us.
